ICA Dinner at NamesCon 2019, hosted with Braden Pollock

Dear ICA Members, Friends, and NamesCon Attendees,

We would like to invite you to Internet Commerce Association's fifth annual dinner hosted at NamesCon hosted jointly with Braden Pollock, brought to you in part by Afilias! Join us on Monday, January 28th at 6pm for excellent food, drinks and conversation with friends and colleagues in the domain industry. We're excited that what started as a small gathering has become a popular tradition for a growing number of attendees each year!

Continuing with tradition, we'll be hosting the dinner at the House of Blues restaurant, the B Side lounge at Mandalay Place. The meal will be reception style with a wide variety of signature dishes to choose from and a limited open bar. And, like last year, after dinner, provided there are no private events held in the space, our guests will be able to enjoy the Foundation Room Patio on the 63rd floor of the Mandalay Bay with breathtaking views of the Las Vegas strip, normally reserved only for Foundation Room members! Please remember to bring your ID.

Can I bring my spouse / partner / friend to the dinner?

Yes, all are welcome. Just order enough tickets or send us their email.

What do you mean by a "limited open bar"?

We have a set budget for the open bar (wine, beer and soft drinks) so we don't go over budget. From past years' experience, we expect the budget will allow the bar to be open for most, if not all of the evening. In the unlikely event that our group is more thirsty than usual and our limit is reached, the bar will convert to a cash bar. Premium drinks that are not available through the open bar will also be available at any time as a cash bar.

Will vegetarian options be available?

Yes, there are a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. For our vegan guests, please get in touch with Kamila (kamila@internetcommerce.org) after you’ve purchased your ticket so we can make sure we’ll have something available for you as well.

How do I get to the venue?

Mandalay Place can be easily reached from the Tropicana by taking the Excalibur to Mandalay Bay tram. It runs frequently and is free (and fun). Station is across the street (west) of Tropicana (station is attached to bridge between Tropicana and Excalibur) and tram runs to Mandalay Bay station. From there it is short walk to House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay.

Door to door using tram should be 8-10 minutes with about half of that walking. Tram is NOT to be confused with Monorail that runs from MGM north of the Tropicana. Groups will be forming in the Tropicana lobby if you prefer to let others lead the way.

Or if you prefer to stretch your legs, the House of Blues is only a 15 minute walk from the Tropicana. Your smartphone will show you the way.
